Live Music

Live Music has been a weekly gathering of friends near and far at the winery since we opened our doors in 2011. As the years have passed and the crowds have grown, we’ve noticed a need for a designated band space. So, in the summer of 2022 we built a band stage and dance floor that is situated right next to our terraced vineyard. This area guarantees that you can enjoy music from local performers rain or shine! You’ll find a variety of artists ranging from single musicians, to duos/trios and on the weekends larger piece bands. While most musicians play cover songs that are well known and loved, you’ll hear original songs as well and most all genres are fair game! It’s not uncommon to see all ages singing along and dancing the afternoon away. We often hear that our vineyard is a great place to make new friends and what better way to do that than tapping your toes to the tunes.

FOOD TRUCK

From May to October you will find The Lazy Bear Food Truck serving up appetizers, lunch and kids meals every Friday (12-5pm) , Saturday (12-5pm) and Sunday (12-4pm) . Owners Bob & sandy Lovejoy have been members of our wine club since 2015 and when they decided to open a food truck (previously known as Eleven80) in 2018 it was an easy decision to combine forces and elevate our winery experience with their tasty treats. To view their current menu click here (please note that items may sometimes change and every now and then popular dishes might sell out before they close for the day). From November to April we collaborate with other local food trucks to bring a variety of options to the vineyard. While we try to have a food truck on site every Saturday year round sometimes mother nature takes over (think cold snowy days) and food trucks may have to cancel. For the most up to date information regarding the food truck schedule from November – April please call us at 828-963-2400. Need to add a section to the food truck menu that shows which of our wines pair with their foods with cute little symbols. Click here for Lazy Bear Food Truck Menu.

OTHER EVENTS

We pride ourselves on working with some amazing local vendors! We have fostered some wonderful friendships and learned so much about our High Country Community through these partnerships. On any given day we offer charcuterie boards (while supplies last) crafted right down the road from Cut & Cured, a variety of cheese spreads and blocks from Ashe County Cheese, English Farmstead & Heritage Homestead and hand made crackers from Accidental Baker & Roots and Branches. For those with a sweet tooth, we partner with Boone Chocolat (our favorite Chocolatier!) to provide a 4 pack of seasonal chocolate treats. Many weekends during the summer months Boone Chocolat will host pop ups right here at the vineyard allowing patrons to stock up on all their favorites and learn about the chocolate process from Suzanne herself. If you’re looking for a mid day munchie or something small to hold you over until dinner we also carry Queen City Crunch Pretzels, Savannah Grace Cheese Straws, Chapel Hill Toffee and more! We understand that allergies and intolerances may prevent you from partaking in our snack selection so if you’d prefer to bring your own picnic we do allow outside food.

PRIVATE EVENTS

While we have thoroughly enjoyed the weddings and rehearsal dinners we have hosted in years past, at this time we have made the decision to take a step back from private events and focus on hosting after hours gatherings that are exclusive for our wine club.
